It is the first step in the creation of a new collection of contemporary photography by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Modena. This volume features works by Hiroshi Sugimoto, Yang Fudong, Kimsooja, Nobuyoshi Araki, Tabaimo, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Ai Weiwei, Cao Fei and Miwa Yanagi, among others, accompanied by in-depth biographies and artist statements and introduced by critical essays by Taro Amano and Filippo Maggia. Filippo Maggia teaches History of Contemporary Photography and Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Turin. He collaborates with art journals in Italy and abroad. Francesca Lazzarini is an art critic and historian.
