Ron Hansen has long been a master of the short form. Ron Hansen is the author of eight novels and three short story collections. He graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, and went on to the University of Iowa Writer's Workshop where he studied with John Irving. He is now Gerard Manley Hopkins, S.J., Professor in Arts and Humanities at Santa Clara University in northern California.

Kate Reading has been a freelance narrator for over twenty years. She received an Audie Award for Bellwether; and nominations for The Gathering Storm, recorded with her husband, Michael Kramer; and Blow Fly. She has also received numerous Earphones Awards from AudioFile magazine, which has named her Narrator of the Year and, for two years running, Best Voice in Science Fiction and Fantasy. She and her husband live in Hyattsville, Maryland, with their two children.
