Puns, jokes, proverbs, riddles, play languages, verbal dueling, parallelism, metaphor, grammatical stretching and manipulation in poetry and song-- people around the world enjoy these forms of speech play and verbal artistry which form an intrinsic part of the fabric of their lives.
