商品簡介
While many media pundits may bandy the term "postracial era" about in the wake of the reelection of President Barack Obama, Andrews (African American and African studies, Michigan State U.) and Tuitt (higher education, Morgridge College of Education, U. of Denver) insist on the continuing significance of race, particularly in relation to the educational experiences and outcomes of students of color and their learning environments. They present ten chapters that examine racial inequality in US education across the K-16 spectrum through discussions of class room climate and practices, educational polices and research methods, and equity and access.
