Hydrogen Energy Handbook

A comprehensive handbook on all aspects of hydrogen energy technology, this text provides the technical know-how for creating a hydrogen-based economy in which hydrogen is the main energy carrier along with electricity. Ideally in such an economy, hydrogen would be produced from renewable energy sources such as solar or wind energy though water electrolysis. This book outlines the many potential benefits to converting to a hydrogen economy. It details why hydrogen can be produced efficiently, is an abundant and completely renewable fuel, can be stored and transported conveniently, and can be effectively converted into other forms of energy in more ways, more efficiently, and with less pollution than any other fuel.

S.A. Sherif is a professor at the University of Florida’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. D. Yogi Goswami is a professor of chemical engineering at the University of South Florida, Tampa, and co-director of the school’s Clean Energy Research Center (CERC). E.K. (Lee) Stefanakos also works at USF as a professor in electrical engineering and director of the CERC.
