European Yearbook of Minority Issues ― 2010

This year's general articles are augmented by special sections on education, minorities and the media, and minorities and religion. Among the topics are individual versus collective rights in protecting the cultural identity of minorities in international law, European integration and minority nationalist mobilization in France, some general considerations of Romani teaching based on model cases, and the contribution of the European Court of Human Rights to contemporary religious-related dilemmas. Reports are also included on international and national developments such as the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages, minority rights questions addressed by the Venice Commission in 2010, the Kurdish opening and constitutional reform, and Denmark's unilateral legislation in favor of kin-minority.
