Yearbook of Islamic and Middle Eastern Law 2009-2010

The 15th volume of this annual starts off with a collection of articles dealing with issues of family law in Iran and Egypt, and aspects of human rights and international humanitarian law in the Middle East. Following are country surveys pertaining to Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Buhrain, UAE, Oman, Yemen, Iran, Morrocco, Tunisia, and Malaysia. The documents section contains the Chatham House Expert Assessment of the Goldstone Report, Israel's Policy of Expelling Palestinian Inhabitants from the West Bank to Gaza, and Report of the Parliamentary Human Rights Group Fact Finding Mission to Pakistan. The settlement of disputes in civil and commercial matters in Egypt is examined in detail. Reviews of three books round out the volume. The editors are affiliated with The Centre of Islamic and Middle Eastern Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies University of London.
