P. Kumar Mehta, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus, Civil and Environmental Engineering, at the University of California at Berkeley. Paulo J. M. Monteiro, Ph.D., is Roy W. Carlson Distinguished Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, University of California at Berkeley and Faculty Scientist, Department of Materials, Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. Dr. Monteiro is a Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and of the American Concrete Institute (ACI).
