Crocodiles ─ Biology, Husbandry and Diseases

Huchzermeyer (Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute, South Africa) offers veterinarians, scientists, wildlife officials, and crocodile farmers a broad reference on crocodile diseases. He draws from years of work with farmed Nile crocodiles, some work with wild and wild-caught African dwarf crocodiles in the Congo Republic, and the available literature on crocodilian species. He is a poultry pathologist rather than clinician, and so emphasizes the diagnosis and treatment rather than the prevention of diseases as they appear on crocodile farms, but does strive to cover all clinical aspects.
