This is a translation based on the author's book Jiao Jie Xiang Gang （llandover of Hong Kong） in Chinese published by the Hunan Literature and Art Publishing House in October 2012. This book is a collection of the author's real life stories during the negotiations on the handover of Hong Kong from 1994 to 1997. The sourcematerials were mainly his working notes， written communications， press reports in Hong Kong and overseas in that period of time and the c. ollective memories of the colleagues from the Office of the Chinese Representatives of the Joint Liaison Group （JLG） and the author himself.
