三、形容詞與副詞（Adjective and Adverb）
形容詞、副詞的比較級和最高級：
基本用法：
（1）兩者相比（甲=乙），用“as+原級+as”表示。
Tomis astall as Jack.
湯姆和杰克一樣高。
She could do as well as a man.
她能干得和男人一樣好。
（2）兩者相比（甲>乙），用“比較級+than”表示。
Robert jumps much higher than any of the others.
羅伯特比其他人跳得高得多。
Our city is more beautiful than any other city in our country.
我們的城市比我國任何別的城市都漂亮。
（3）三者或三者以上相比，表示最高程度時，用“the+最高級”的結構表示。
Zhang Hua is the tallest of the three.
張華是3個人中最高的。
He works（the）hardest in his class.
他是這個班里最勤奮的。
（4）表示“幾倍于……時”，用“倍數+as…as”，“倍數+比較級+than…”表示。
This kind of plane flies twice as fast as that kind.
這種飛機的速度比那種快一倍。
Our classroom is three times larger than yours.
我們的教室比你們的教室大3倍。
（5）用“比較級+and+比較級”表示“越來越……”。
Our country is becoming more and more beautiful.
我們的國家變得越來越漂亮。
（6）用“the+比較級，the+比較級”表示“越……越……”。
The busier the old mailis，the happier he feels.
那位老人越忙越高興。
