Sasha Grey (born Marina Ann Hantzis; March 14, 1988) is an American actress, model, author, musician, and former pornographic actress. Throughout her adult film career, she was profiled by several pop culture magazines and television programs. She has also been featured in music videos and advertising campaigns. She won numerous awards between 2007 and 2010, including the AVN Female Performer of the Year Award in 2008. After her feature film debut as the lead in Steven Soderbergh's The Girlfriend Experience, she shifted her focus to acting. She starred in the black comedy/horror film Smash Cut, as well as playing a semi-fictionalized version of herself in the seventh season of the HBO television series Entourage. She has also appeared in independent films, such as I Melt With You. She is a member of aTelecine, an industrial music band.
