Printed Mimo Antenna Engineering

This guide explains the design of printed multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna systems for mobile wireless devices such as laptops, cellular phones, smartphones, and USB dongles. The design approach considers MIMO antenna parameters as fundamental quantities that need to be analyzed and optimized early in the design process to ensure a successful MIMO antenna system that will provide the anticipated channel capacity increase for 4G communication systems. Full design examples provide black and white illustrations of the antenna geometries for both single-band and multi-band MIMO systems.
