One consequence of India's recent fast development is lifestyle change with increased average life expectancy. This leads to the new problem of how to care for large numbers of people with dementia, which Indian cultures tend to see as a normal part of the aging process. This Indo-Australian specialist in medical anthropology and public health has produced a book on the subject of how Indian caregivers, and India as a nation, approaches the problem.
