Aca Ethical Standards Casebook

This guide details the 2014 ACA Code of Ethics from the American Counseling Association and the application of its principles to practice. After discussion of the code's evolution and foundations, developing a personal ethical stance, the ethical decision-making process, ethical decision-making models and elements, and enforcement of the code (along with an inventory of attitudes and beliefs about ethical issues), it presents each standard of the code, which focuses on the counseling relationship; confidentiality and privacy; professional responsibility; relationships with other professionals; evaluation, assessment, and interpretation; supervision, training, and teaching; research and publication; distance counseling, technology, and social media; and resolving ethical issues--with case vignettes for illustration.
