Marie Demker is Professor of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. She is the author of more than fifteen books and anthologies, among them Colonial Power and National identity, Pierre Mendes France and the History of French Decolonisation, and several book chapters and articles on political parties in Europe. She recurrently publishes chronicles and is an active commentator on politics in Swedish media.

Yvonne Leffler is Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her main areas of research and publications are in the field of Scandinavian nineteenth century literature and contemporary popular fiction. She has published several books, including Horror as Pleasure: The Aesthetics of Horror Fiction and articles about Gothic fiction, nineteenth century novels, and popular fiction in postmodern society. Besides working with "Fiction and Health", she is currently directing a research project on the transcultural dissemination and reception of Swedish literature in the nineteenth century.

Ola Sigurdson is Professor of Systematic Theology and Director of the Centre for Culture and Health at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He has held visiting scholarships in Uppsala, Sweden, Cambridge, UK and Princeton, USA. The author of more than fifteen books and anthologies, among them Theology and Marxism in Eagleton and ?i?ek and Heavenly Bodies. He is also active as a cultural journalist and commentator in Swedish media.
