Designing Knowledge Organizations is based upon a graduate course taught at Stevens Institute of Technology to Masters and PhD students. The book focuses?on the design and management of?a K-organization: any company?that generates and applies knowledge.?The authors?concentrate on both micro- and macro-design and their interrelationships at?individual, team, task, process, and organizational levels. The book intertwines the disciplines of organizational design and knowledge management, using extensive discussion, examples, case studies, and visualizations.

Joseph Morabito is professor in the School of Business, Stevens Institute of Technology. Professor Morabito's research interests include organizational design, knowledge management, business intelligence, and big data.

Ira Sack has served as professor at the Howe School of Technology Management, Stevens Institute of Technology. He led the design and development of master's and doctoral programs in information management.
