Jay H. Buckley, Associate Professor of History at Brigham Young University, is the author of the award-winning book,William Clark: Indian Diplomat and co-author ofBy His Own Hand?: The Mysterious Death of Meriwether Lewis andZebulon Pike, Thomas Jefferson, and the Opening of the American West. Buckley recently served as President of the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation.
Brenden W. Rensink is, historian and documentary editor with the Joseph Smith Papers project, is the author of the forthcomingNative but Foreign: Transnational Cree, Chippewa and Yaqui Refugees and Immigrants in the U.S-Canadian and U.S.-Mexican Borderlands, 1880-present. He is the author of various articles and anthology chapters on the American West, transnational borderlands, indigenous history, and genocide studies.
