Through a series of cases, Systemic Change Management describes a systems approach to enterprise change. Organizations are more successful individually and collectively when they develop and diffuse five enterprise change capabilities - promoting enterprise awareness, installing innovation sets, balancing push and pull changes, seeking growth, and distributing leadership. Each capability enhances individual firm performance and when used together create a synergy that magnifies their overall effectiveness and impact.

This book explains how a system of change capabilities can be developed and demonstrates their use at a variety of organizations, including United Technologies, Rockwell Collins, Raytheon, Toyota, Ariens, the US Army, and US Air Force. The reader will come to understand that performance improvement requires internal change along with collaboration with suppliers and other organizations to effectively function as an enterprise.

作者簡介

George L. Roth is a Principal Research Associate at MIT's Sloan School of Management where he earned his PhD and directed change research for the Lean Aerospace Initiative. He is currently also on the faculty of the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Roth was a board member and Chair of the Organization Development and Change Division of the Academy of Management and helped found and remains a research and consulting member of the Society for Organizational Learning. He is the author of numerous award-winning academic and professional journal articles on learning and change, including articles published in the Harvard Business Review, Organizational Dynamics, and AQP Journal.

Anthony DiBella is a Professor of Strategic Leadership at National Defense University in Washington, DC. He has also taught at Boston College, the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and the U.S. Naval War College, USA. He has a PhD in organization studies from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Dr. DiBella is the author of numerous publications including two books -How Organizations Learn (1997) and Learning Practices (2000).
