Zeki Kuneralp and the Turkish Foreign Service

Yucel Guclu is a historian. His previous publications include The Question of the Sanjak of Alexandretta: A Study in Turkish-French-Syrian Relations (2001); Eminence Grise of the Turkish Foreign Service: Numan Menemencioglu (2002); The Life and Career of a Turkish Diplomat: Cevat Acikalin (2002); The Turcomans and Kirkuk (2007); Armenians and the Allies in Cilicia 1914-1923 (2010); and The Holocaust and the Armenian Case in Comparative Perspective (2012), in addition to numerous articles on Turkish diplomatic history. He was the winner of the Afet Inan Historical Studies Prize in 1996, and is currently engaged in research on the Armenian events of Adana in 1909 and Cemal Pasa. His next book, Historical Archives and the Historians' Commission to Investigate the Armenian Events of 1915 (University Press of America), is forthcoming.
