Race, Ethnicity and Welfare States ― An American Dilemma?

Editors Kettunen, Michel, and Petersen present students, academics, researchers, policy makers, and general interest readers with a collection of academic papers and scholarly articles focused on interdisciplinary approaches to the relationship between homogeneity and the development of welfare states. The editors have organized the eleven contributions that make up the main body of the text in four parts devoted to Gunnar Myrdal, diversity in the making of welfare states, Europe’s current dilemma, and the globalization of the American dilemma.
