Reflections on Life in Higher Education

This book explores the challenges of an academic teaching career in higher education as told by eight career professionals who span the career arc of the teaching profession. Each chapter reflects on a range of issues such as scholarship activities, publishing, providing service to academic communities, balancing work and family life, the tenure process and how to keep teaching lessons relevant and fresh and offers advice on what life is really like in academia.
