Classification and Clustering in Biomedical Signal Processing

This work gathers international contributors in information technology, systems engineering, medical informatics, and biomedical engineering to explain techniques for the use of automated systems for medical image classification and clustering and for computer-aided diagnosis systems. The first part of the book provides an introduction to classification and clustering. Subsequent sections deal with filtering and thresholding for medical image quality improvement, classification and clustering of magnetic resonance imaging, medical image retrieval, medical imaging applications-based classifications, and wireless systems for health. Some specific subjects addressed include metagenomics gene analysis, classification of MRI and segmentation of brain tissues for tumor detection, and new imaging and computational technology as a guide for catheter ablation of incessant tachyarrhythmias.
