The conference marked the twentieth anniversary of the fruitful German-Israeli cooperation of the Bet Tfila – Research Unit for Jewish Architecture in Europe.

Dr. Katrin Kesler is a scientific staff member of the Bet Tfila – Research Unit, Braunschweig Department. Prof. Dr. Alexander von Kienlin is Scientific Director of the Bet Tfila – Research Unit, Braunschweig Department and director of the Institute of Building History at the University of Braunschweig (Germany).
