Evidence-based Research Methods for Chinese Medicine

This book uses evidence-based research to demonstrate the effectiveness of Chinese medicine (CM). It applies standardized research methods to acquire, analyze and evaluate results to make CM an evidence-based medicine. Organized in three parts: clinical research, drug development and quality research guidelines, it discusses basic, clinical, allied health and social research into herbs, pharmaceutical formulations and the CM industry. It provides a practical guide to state-of-the-art methods, including design and execution of CM medicine research in accordance with international evidence-based medicine standards and guidelines.
