Tony Cragg: Unnatural Selection

British artist Tony Cragg has risen to become one of the most important international sculptors of the present day. From the beginning his creative work has found inspiration in nature as a model. His large-format sculptures made from metal, marble, wood, and glass are derived from organic natural shapes. The materials used are integral to each sculpture’s means of expression. Each piece is developed through a time-consuming process, during which the work is formed and the material and surface are treated.
