Supply Chain Management in the Big Data Era

From presentations to a July 2015 conference on operations and supply chain management at the University of Nottingham-Ningbo China, 12 papers that discuss big data were selected for publication here. They cover insights from the academia and practitioners, big data on operations and supply chains, big data and emerging technology, and social media data research. Among specific topics are big data analytics: service and manufacturing perspectives, big data analytics for predictive maintenance strategies, the data-driven inventory management in the healthcare supply chain, developing an integration framework for crowdsourcing and Internet of Things with applications for disaster response, and exploring the hidden pattern from tweets: the investigation into the Volkswagen emissions scandal.
