Unlocking Precision Medicine

Drug companies, hospitals, and doctors are joining forces to create and mine large databases containing genetic information and detailed patient histories to hone in on the molecular drivers of complex diseases that often develop silently for decades before producing symptoms. Over time, the new normal in medicine will become stopping diseases at their inception at the molecular level ? halting progression long before they become serious enough to generate clinical symptoms.

It won’t happen overnight, but more and more patients will benefit from precision drug prescription protocols and disease prevention strategies in the years and decades to come.
