Crop Variety Improvement and its Effect on Productivity ─ The Impact of International Agricultural Research

Twenty-three contributions report on the productivity impacts of varietal improvement research conducted at a number of international centers affiliated with the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research. Comprising the result of a study initiated and supported by the Impact Assessment and Evaluation Group of the CGIAR, the volume presents descriptive data and econometric models to evaluate the impact of research on 11 crops and country case studies in Brazil, China, and India.
