商品簡介
Capture-recapture methods are techniques used to estimate the size of populations that cannot be easily counted. Examples are homeless populations, illegal immigrants, illegal drug users, drivers driving without a license, domestic violence cases, etc. This edited book provides an overview of these methods with a particular emphasis on issues and applications in the social and life sciences. It provides a synthesis of recent research in the field, with contributions from some of the leading researchers. The methods are illustrated by worked examples and case studies using real data, such as that described above. Software for implementation of the methods will be discussed whenever possible.
