Dimant presents 20 articles, most written and published during the past 15 years but some as old as three decades. She has updated all of them, partially rewritten the older ones, and translated some from the original Hebrew. They all address various aspects of Second Temple literature that were emerging from ongoing research at the time she wrote them, she says, but assembling them reveals how all the books of the Hebrew Bible except for the Wisdom of Solomon are related in one way or another to the Qumran Scrolls. Her topics include election and laws of history in the apocalyptic literature, Israel's subjugation to the Gentiles as an expression of demonic power in Qumran documents and related literature, the Book of Tobit and the Qumran halakhah, 4 Ezra and 2 Baruch in light of the Qumran literature, and whether 4Q127 is an unknown Jewish apocryphal work.
