Rosemarie Buikema is Professor of Art, Culture and Diversity at Utrecht University. She chairs the UU Graduate Gender Programme and is the scientific director of the Netherlands Research School of Gender Studies. Liedeke Plate, Associate Professor of Gender Studies and Literary and Cultural Studies, Radboud University, has published extensively on the subject of gender, cultural memory and women’s rewriting. She is author of Transforming Memories in Contemporary Women’s Rewriting (Palgrave, 2011) and co-editor of, among others, Technologies of Memory in the Arts (Palgrave, 2009), Performing Memory in Art and Popular Culture (Routledge, 2013), and Materializing Memory in Art and Popular Culture (Routledge, 2017). Together with Rosemarie Buikema she edited the Dutch edition of this textbook: Handboek genderstudies in media, kunst en cultuur (Coutinho, 2015).

Kathrin Thiele is Associate Professor in Gender Studies at Utrecht University. Trained as a critical theorist with research expertise in continental philosophy, feminist theories of difference, and posthuman(ist) studies, her research focuses on questions of ethics and politics in queer, feminist and decolonial cosmopolitics.
