Lost in Boston

Lost in Boston is the fifth in a juvenile fiction series featuring the Johnson family. This book continues the travels of Joey, Bobby and Katy, taking them to the historic city of Boston. While there, they take a trolley tour of the city and walk sections of the Freedom Trail, learning about America’s early colonial days. They visit the Paul Revere House, the Old North Church, and tour the USS Constitution. But the story is not just about history. The kids sample new foods, ride the subway, and go to a Red Sox game at Fenway Park. Thirteen-year-old Joey reconnects with Barby, a girl he met a year earlier in St. Augustine, Florida, adding a coming-of-age element to this story; while younger brother Bobby makes a new friend who he rescues from a dangerous situation. The story is filled with humorous situations and a sense of youthful adventure, discovery, and intrigue.

Jane R. Wood is the author of five award-winning juvenile fiction books and owner of Florida Kids Press. A former teacher, newspaper reporter, and television producer, Wood weaves history and information about the environment into stories filled with mystery, adventure, and humor for young readers ages 8-14. Wood has a BA from the University of Florida and an M.Ed from the University of North Florida.
