商品簡介
This reprint of the 1899 publication tells the story of a man who straddled two cultures. Occom spoke fluent Mohegan and English, and was literate in Greek, Latin, and French. He advocated for Native American rights in education and religious training, and secured the funding to create Dartmouth College. His life spanned the period of both the American colonies and early nationhood, but Love's book reaches back into the early 17th century and beyond Occom's life to 19th century Indian resettlements and removals out West.
