Mixed-language dictionaries can be fascinating and often contain much more than you bargained for. It appears that virtually every endeavor produces at least a short compendium of specialized terms or turns of phrase. These nine essays examine a variety of dictionary/glossary forms from mixed-language sources, including one of specialized words from Chaucer's treatment of history and another detailing a dictionary based on Middle-English romances.
