Oh, Freedom over Me

The explosion shook the earth for miles. Bricks, wood, and glass were scattered like rockets into the community. Li'l Jess and his best friend, Cass, were almost knocked off their bikes. Their hearts sank as they raced toward the chaos and found their historic church destroyed. They knew that this was not an accident. They suspected that the arch enemy of their community, Otto Volgar, was responsible for this hate filled deed. The black community is temporarily devastated but begins to rebuild the church in-spite of the increased violence against them. With the help of some government agents, several mysteries are exposed. The government finds out that Otto Volgar is a German Nazi. The most important yet disturbing revelation for Li'l Jess is that he uncovers information from slave documents that may link him biologically to Volgar. This possibility deeply troubles him but is it enough to stop him and his cohorts from continuing to build a case against Volgar? Is there time to stop Volgar from escaping on the Mississippi River?
