Operations Management and Sustainability ― New Research Perspectives

This edited book presents cutting edge international research in operations management sustainability and topical research themes. As the sustainability agenda gains greater prominence and momentum throughout society, business actors and stakeholders are increasingly concerned with the impact of current business operations. In several industries, business actors have already implemented sustainable business practices, while others are still contemplating how to create the necessary traditions in their own organization and throughout the supply chain. Luitzen de Boer is Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway and chairs the research group on Green Value Creation in the Department of Industrial Economics and Technology Management. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Twente, Netherlands. His main research interests are public procurement, logistics and supply chain management. He is a former committee member of the International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association (IPSERA) and was Associate Editor of the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management.
