Included here are paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, videos, and on-site installations by 34 modern and contemporary artists from around the world. Insightful texts have been contributed by the well-known art historian Philippe Dagan, and Columbia University professor Souleymane Bachir Daigne. There are interviews with 23 of the artists whose work is represented in the show.
