Billy has an Eidetic Memory, perfect 3D recall from as far back as his name changed from Tommy to Billy Subtly changed by his parents when he was two years old to protect their father from a murder charge. He has answered to being called Billy for the rest of his life. Then he discovered the terrible truth behind the name switch. His eidetic memory produces "flashbacks" of incidents that are triggered by a picture, music or actually seeing the source of the flashback. It was his father who tried to hit him with his shillelagh for crying. He missed him but hit his other brother in the middle of his skull So, he was given his dead brothers name to protect him from prison. Billy suffered from systemic brutal abuse and bizarre torture from an early age. All from his twisted father. Billy met Maddy when she was sixteen and he rescued her just after her seventeenth birthday. She had suffered from horrific sexual abuse from an early age, just like Billy. He rescued her when she turned seventeen and they escaped to England and started a new family together.Both of their fathers subsequently committed suicide when they were finally confronted with their actions. It seems that only became possible when Billy and Maddy met, fell in love and escaped their respective living nightmares; both in search of redemption and retribution.
