Alternative Investments, Saudi Arabia Sovereign Wealth Fund, The Swedish Model

The author is going to be sharing with you what an alternative investment is, how to differentiate it from other types of investment and why they will become increasingly important to your own wealth and why you should care. Saudi Arabia, in just the first three months of 2020 alone, the kingdom's bought over eight billion dollars of blue chip stocks and Western companies. The reason behind this shift to more prudent consumption is due to one man's 2030 vision Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Back in April 2016 as the prince was on his ascendancy to the throne, he took to the stage to launch vision 2030, a sweeping setter reforms for the kingdom that has three core aims: firstly, to build a vibrant society, secondly a thriving economy and thirdly to transform Saudi Arabia into an ambitious nation. Sweden, a country known for its high level of state welfare, which has made its approach to the corona virus pandemic a bit of a surprise as the rest of the Nordics, Europe and basically the entire world were shutting down due to the corona virus. Sweden took a far more relaxed approach, never bringing in the full force of lockdown measures that so many others felt compelled to do preferring a lighter touch approach instead. In doing so Sweden avoided the stringent restrictions brought in by many of its peers, which to this day have had huge economic consequences.
