Providence: The Story of A Life

'Providence: The Story of a Life' was written to open my heart to all who met me along this life journey. My children in particular wanted some documentation of how my life had evolved! It is often a delight to see the end of a project, but it may be informative and useful to know the hidden details of the struggles involved in executing the project, making this book a worthwhile read. The episodes of my life unfolded against the backdrop of the ordinary history of Nigeria and many will find that they have had similar experiences, having lived in similar contexts. I wish you all an enjoyable read.

I grew up not really noticing any differences between me and my peers. It was only in secondary school that I observed some disparity of backgrounds; but the only gift that mattered to me was a singular ability to excel in my studies. Earlier in the primary school, I realised that many fathers were interested in the performance of their children but my own was indifferent to whatever was happening to me in school! He really did not see the point in my going to school; it was like I did not matter at all. But God always prepared and provided a soft landing for me whenever I needed paternal support. Without my understanding how, God saw me through all the challenges I faced. This book is therefore written to honour him who planned my life and gave me the grace to follow the path He laid out for me. Readers may find their faith enriched and their hearts moved, and they may also find amusing anecdotes to bring smiles and laughter to their day.
