Anthony Burleson didn't let tragedy quell his desire to find the love of his life and have a family of his own. A family like he was raised in had been his dream since childhood. After being medically discharged from the Navy, his injuries combined with ghosts from his past made living on the family ranch in his small town difficult and depressing. When her ex-husband showed up drunk and an hour and a half late picking up the girls for his weekend, Anthony's plan to slowly and secretly court Kay until she was ready to introduce him to her daughters got thrown out and replaced with his new plan to protect his future family. Anthony's plan for courting Kay was fast tracked when he took her on the run from destructive behavior of her ex. He helped her get a job with him in the GWA and moved her and her daughters to his family ranch in the small town of Heart's Destiny to keep them all safe from her abusive ex.

Their adventures as they fight for full custody of her daughters run the gamut from wholesome family fun with her precocious daughters to hot sexy desire behind their locked bedroom door. Shy single mom, Kay comes out of her shell with Anthony. Gentlemanly pilot Anthony learns to express his inner kinky alpha with Kay.
