Keep Out and Stay Out!

16-year-old Vix Aelfadene Carter has been alone and on the run since his mother died, mostly because everyone around thinks he did it. But he didn't--really. He only just found her right afterwards. But that's the kind of luck he's always had: his father left right after he was born, when he was five the entire world turned upside down, and he has the uncanny ability to turn into a cat. The reason we know all of this? One day, while hiding from a four-armed bear, he found an empty notebook and a pen. So to kill time, he decided to write it all down. Soon, with the help of a hologram guy from the 1960's, a talking jackalope from Elfin Valley, and a surprising family member, Vix will have to decide what kind of family he wants to have, and what kind of person he wants to be.
