Joe Turns Pro: Big Dreams Don't Come Easy

Joe has big plans, if only he could deal with a few critical issues. When he learns about a cooking competition with $5000 prize money to be won, Joe thinks he's found the answer to achieving his dream of being a pro bowler! He's never cooked before - or seen anyone cook anything that didn't come out of a freezer and go into a microwave - but how hard could it be? His parents ban him from entering the competition, but Joe's determined to give it a go. Soon, he's sneaking out to go to cooking classes, lying to his parents about detentions, and bonding with the weird girl at school - who seems to be the only one on his side. To make matters worse, the school bully now has Joe (and his lofty goals) in his sights. Joe needs to find a way to manage the pressure of the competition (and his life) and stay true to himself while reaching for his goals. Otherwise, he can say goodbye to making it out of Ethel Park and look forward to being grounded for life.
