Shelter in Place

Nick has been married to Laura Prymore for three years. She is a successful interior designer in Washington, D.C. and her business is thriving. Things seem idealistic. Until Nick is offered an opportunity to head up his own BAU team in Denver, Colorado. Upon sharing the news with his wife, a side of her is revealed that he has never seen before. The marriage crumbles. Nick tries to compromise to save the relationship but when his wife turns up dead, his world is turned upside down. Her car is found submerged in the Potomac River and she has been brutally murdered.
The investigation will be worked from both the Denver office, by Devon and the D.C. office, by Todd Bennett, a BAU agent Nick mentored. Nick will stay in touch at a safe distance but there's only so long that safety can last. In Shelter, Devon's most trusted friend, Russell Dolby (a retired FBI agent from the Counterintelligence division) and his daughter Lila, who Nick immediately feels an intense connection with, will try to keep Nick safe but the killer will use clever misdirection and resources to track him down.
Nick and his trusted team will devise a plan to lure the unsub out and end the nightmare in a stunning climax no one saw coming, especially the killer.
