The book revolves around the story of a beautiful non-conformist woman from the medieval era. It shows her journey from being a Knight's sweetheart wife who is the apple of everyone's eyes to heading down a dark path and wreaking havoc. When Ada's beautiful life turns to ashes, she takes up an unknown form of being and challenges the system and security of the kingdom in every possible way. She openly toys with the royals, as she has nothing more to lose, and it becomes a cat and mouse race between Ada and the royals.
'Which' is a book from medieval times, but the actions and thoughts of the characters revolve around modern themes and feelings, including alienation, individuality, self-identity, critical thinking, self-reflection, and much more. Each character has its' own struggles, which were not considered significant in medieval times. This book touches exactly the gray areas of old times and challenges the stereotypes of heroism and war glory along with what being a 'good woman' means.
Even centuries later, peoples' ideas of soldiers, kings, princes, and witches are the same; soldiers are the epitome of glory and heroism, prince are considered charming, brave and chivalrous, kings can either only be evil or good, among this all, people fail to see they grey character these titles hold. This book revolves around the ideas in between these words and shows the readers the real picture of the world they have only heard pleasantries about.
