Low Electromagnetic Field Exposure Wireless Devices: Fundamentals And Recent Advances

EMF exposure is a vital parameter to ensure the health and safety of the user of wireless devices. A sharp rise in wearables, portables and other wireless devices facilitating communication, transportation and navigation needs of the users in the wake of Internet-of-Things and 5G/Beyond 5G networks necessitate adherence to the safety standards set by the FCC and ICNIRP.

So far, there are no books focusing on solutions for the reduction of EMF levels in user proximity devices, and this book aims to fill that gap by addressing a wide range of topics in wireless communications relating to EMF exposure. It brings together multidisciplinary contributors in the field of wireless communications, signal processing and antenna design to identify and present technical challenges and recent results related to the designing of energy efficient and low EMF-aware user proximity wireless devices.
