商品簡介

This fictional account tells the real-life story of a retired couple that has found themselves on the front-lines fighting sex-trafficking in their hometown in Southern Spain. In 2013, Sara traveled to India on a missions trip and saw first-hand the sexual exploitation of girls and women. Forever changed by the experience, she returned home and soon discovered that sex-trafficking was not just an issue across the world but was happening right in her own city and was determined to do whatever she could to make a difference. Together with her husband, Diego, the couple went on to form a non-profit organization that brings relief, rescue and restoration to women who have been trafficked. A few years after they began their work they were visited by an American who came to see what the work they were doing and soon joined them through her advocacy and fundraising efforts back home.
The harsh realities of the slavery in the twenty-first century are told through stories that recount the experiences of women from all over the globe who are trafficked by family members, pimps, and mafia networks. To stop this injustice will take an international effort and commitment to bring freedom to those who are enslaved and this book may very well inspire the reader to join the ranks of modern day abolitionists.
