A Healthy Sisterhood

In A Healthy Sisterhood, eleven black women in the medical profession are making

history and becoming pioneers in their field. These women are breaking barriers and

changing the landscape of medicine for future generations. From combating racism,

and sexism, and working to end gun violence, these sisters are trailblazers in their own right.

This inspiring book celebrates the women who have made huge strides in medicine and

other traditionally male-dominated fields. In A Healthy Sisterhood, eleven black women

in the medical field share their experience in pioneering new technologies to make a

difference in the black community. They are just as diverse and interesting as any group of

doctors you'd find and there's no area of medicine these ladies have not had an impact on.

The commonality shared among the women is similar to the patients they treat; they're

strong and focused on making a difference through diligence and perseverance. Which

helped them to accomplish their goals in being where they are today, and is reflective of

how we as a community should hope and strive to be going forward.
