Where Butterflies Go to Die

Bobby Lee Darrow has always been consumed with self and finding the easy way out in life. Now, fresh off a court hearing in which he's sentenced to community service, he reluctantly reports to an assisted living facility in his hometown of Talladega, Alabama.

He spends the next several months serving as an orderly, and uncharacteristically befriends a resident, a lonely World War II vet battling dementia, who's concealing a wartime secret and claims of a long-lost love.

Captivated by the vet, and with a growing desire to uncover the truth about the man's mysteries, Bobby embarks on a journey across the country. Along the way, he makes lifelong friends while discovering a newfound purpose for his life.
